Microscopy has evolved from conventional optical solutions to highly developed "super-resolution microscopes". In classical microscopy, resolution is limited by the diffraction limit (according to Abbe). This corresponds approximately to half the wavelength of the light source used. Thus, the resolution is limited to a maximum of 200 nm (with blue light irradiation and ambient air).
The revolutionary high-resolution microscope or so-called "super-resolution-microscopy" OptoNano 200 overcomes this limit, with a technology called "Optical Microsphere Nanoscopy" (OMN). Thus, the OptoNano 200 is the world's first imaging instrument with nanometer resolution in ambient air. This allows structures as small as 137nm to be resolved without the need for complex sample preparation. This saves time and costs and allows the unique OptoNano 200 to be used in both research laboratories and industrial production.
