An optical network is mainly built using active and passive components. Passive components are an important part of the network, and do not usually include their own power supply. Passive components include couplers/splitters, wavelength-selective splitters (WDM, CWDM, and DWDM), circulators/isolators, and optical switches. All of these components are available in single-mode (SM) and multi-mode (MM) versions.
The LT900 Series of 1xN (1x3-1x26) optical switches combine world class switching speed with low insertion loss and excellent repeatability.
